Winter Storm Alert is in effect for Durham until further. Freezing Rain is expected with .20 to .50 inches of ice accumulation possible starting tonight and moving into Friday along with 1-3 inches of rainfall which will likely lead to downed trees and power lines, power outages and hazardous road conditions. 

Don’t travel if you don’t have to and remember to have food, water, flashlights and a safe source for alternative heating if you lose power. Stay away from any down power lines and report all power outages to your power company.
